Tracy Women’s Club

Evelyn Tolbert has been an active member of the Tracy Woman’s Club for the past six years. The Tracy Woman’s Club began in 1921 and is one of the oldest organizations in Tracy. The specific and primary purpose of the Tracy Woman’s Club is to conduct “. . . exclusively charitable, educational, and service programs with a special emphasis on a stimulating educational program for women.”

The current officers are President, Arlene Boen; First Vice President, Joan Rickman; Second Vice President, Dorothy Gonzalves; Corresponding Secretary, Susan Mosteller; Recording Secretary, Carol Grose; Treasurer, Elido Ortiz Gelder; Financial Secretary, Deborah Nelson; and Auditor, Cathy Actis. Directors are Sue Finke and Aggie Deeds. Evelyn Tolbert was named the “Performing Arts Information Officer.” She hopes, in the near future, to resume her duty of bringing Tracy performing arts information to club members through direct oral presentations and by placing articles in the Tracy Woman’s Club newsletter.
